Another Way to RPTA!

Starting April 28, you can book your RPTA ride from our mobile app, on our website OR continue to book  via the phone reservation line.

Book your ride at least 24 hours in advance to travel door to door anywhere within the River Parish service area.
*Service to the St James Parish stop requires 48 hours advance notice

Your choice, your ride. Three different ways to RPTA…

1. App

You can download and install the RPTA Mobile App from the Apple Store or the Google Play store.

  • Create an account and allow the app to access your location
  • Choose your pick and drop off locations (tap the map or type)
  • Select the trip option that works best for you!

2. Website

3. Phone

Our reservation line is 985-651-1141 and open Monday–Friday from 8:30am–5:00pm.

Fares

A one-way trip on the RPTA is $2.00. Children 4 and under ride free.
Drivers accept exact cash fare only and do not make change.

Keeping You COVID Safe

Your health and safety are important to us, so masks are required on board and we’re limiting capacity to 50%.
Vehicles are cleaned and disinfected daily, and disinfectant wipes are provided on board.

If you have questions about service, lost and found, complaints, commendations or suggestions, please call the RPTA Transit Office at 985-651-1141 weekdays between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.


Days and Hours of Service

The service will be provided Monday through Friday for trips scheduled between 5:00 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.

The service will be provided Saturday for trips scheduled between 5:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.

There is no service on Sundays or the following public holidays: New Years Day, Martin Luther King Day, Mardi Gras Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.


Fares

The fare for a one-way trip on the RPTA is $2.00. Children 4 and under ride free. Drivers will accept EXACT FARE ONLY. Drivers will not carry cash or make change. Each bus is equipped with a fare box and the exact fare must be deposited prior to the passenger taking his or her seat.
